INFORMATION



CLUB EVENTS

The Club holds three dog shows every year.
A Spring Open Show is held in February, a Summer Open Show is held in June and a Championship Show is held in October.
The February and Championship shows always include obedience classes.
We always have separate judges for dogs and bitches.
Non-members can enter these shows.

Schedules are sent to all paid up UK members.

    The Club awards Points Trophies which are won on points collected at Championship shows and Club open shows where the judge is on one of the E.S.S.C judging lists. They are held for one year, from January to December and must be claimed by 7th January.

    The Club publishes the "Nutshell" magazine every six months ( free to members )

    The Club also publishes a Handbook every five years. These are available for purchase by both non-members and members. Prices and availability are shown on the marketing page.


    The Club represents the Breed at Discover Dogs which is organised by the Kennel Club.

    All new members must be proposed and seconded by an existing member of five years standing.

    Single member rate is £8.00.
    Joint membership is £10.00 (£11.00 for three members living at the same address).
    If you are a single member over the age of sixty you will pay the senior rate of £7.00 but two senior members living at the same address still pay joint membership of £10.00.
    In addition there is a joining fee of £1.00

    The Club has prepared a specimen Sales Agreement suitable for the sale of puppies.

    HEALTH ISSUES

    Although the breed is relatively free from major problems there are a few issues that you should be aware of.
